Unfortunately my allergies have gotten worse and I’m not feeling too well. I’m losing my voice but Jeff and I still decide to walk a half day. Jeff’s allergies were not as bad, but also are bothering him as well.

We have a taxi take us about 10Kms outside Najera and drop us at the Camino. We still walk the remaining 15kms to a small hamlet of about 200 residents called Granon. The day is much cooler and cloudy and it rains a small amount. We meet Linton along the way and have a nice chat for the final 4Kms into the town of Santo Domingo de la Calzada.

Linton is from India, and works in Oman, Jordan. He came a long way to walk the Camino. He tells me he is looking for the meaning of life. He seems lost but encourage him not to give up on his quest regardless of the outcome on the Camino. After a coffee and breakfast we move on from Linton. Jeff and I discuss that most people doing the Camino are looking for something. I hope Linton finds his joy.

As we arrive in Granon, my allergies are not better, I take some more medication and rest. My voice is gone. Hoping for a recovery tomorrow. But if not, it happens, and I’ll have to consider options for continuing. Please enjoy the pictures:
